Summer Days in Evanston, Take Four

Friday was a very low-key day. Josh and Bampa golfed. Mimi worked. Jackson and I went to lunch at Panera and hung around the house. Friday night, however, we took advantage of the nice weather and all met at Hackney's to eat outside! Jackson seemed to enjoy the outdoor dining experience--to be honest, he didn't really notice it was any difference!

On Saturday morning, Jackson and I went over to Old Orchard and met our cousin, Beth, for some catching up. We started at Starbucks and we all enjoyed beverages/snacks. We walked around the mall for a little while and then Jackson got to play on the outdoor play area! Beth was such a good sport and followed Jackson up and down the little path he decided on for himself. We were so proud of him because after a little practice, Jackson was able to walk up and down the little hills all by himself! Some areas were a little steeper than others, and Jackson slid down those, but he had such a good time! We could tell HE was proud of himself for figuring out how to play on this new stuff by himself :) He also really enjoyed exploring all of the flower bed curbs and stairs throughout the mall...
